I was catching up on my blogs and went through literally 50 posts on 2 different fashion editorial sites and I saw no ethnic women. Correction. I saw one Asian but being a woman of color I was looking more so for some melatonin. You think Chanel Iman at least would have made an appearance in at least one.
Here’s a good read I found on this ever present issue. It’s a few years old but still relevant.
And I’m not just saying more black models but more women of color models. I’m hispanic and I’m as dark or darker than most black people I see and know.
But I suppose diverse models depend on diverse designers. They are the ones casting and they are the ones that can or cannot relate to ethnic models.
